Privacy Policy

Markee (markee.app) turns Chrome Web Store listings into redesigned screenshot kits. This policy explains what data we collect and what we do with it. Questions: hello@markee.app.

Email address — when you join the waitlist or create an account. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes; we never see or store the plain text.

Listing content — when you paste a Chrome Web Store URL, we fetch that listing's public data (name, description, screenshots, icon) to build your kit. This is content already published on the public web store.

Generated images and edits — the kits you create are stored so you can come back to them and share them.

Basic usage data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) and credit usage, used for security, rate limiting, and debugging. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

To provide the service: generating kits, keeping your account and credit balance, emailing you about your account or launch (waitlist emails are one-time; no marketing spam). We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

We share data only with the vendors needed to run Markee:

• Hosting and database (Vercel and our database provider).
• AI image generation (Google Cloud Vertex AI, and OpenAI as a secondary provider) — listing screenshots and text are sent to these APIs to generate your kit. They process it under their own enterprise data terms and don't use it to train on by default.
• Payments — handled entirely by our payment processor. Card numbers never touch our servers.
• Transactional email delivery.

We use only functional cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in and an access cookie during the private beta. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

If you create a share link for a kit, anyone with that link can view it. Don't share links to kits you want to keep private.

We keep your data while your account exists. Email hello@markee.app to delete your account, your kits, or your waitlist entry — we will remove them within 30 days. You can also ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.

Markee is not directed at children under 16.

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the date above, and notify account holders by email for significant changes.
